What it’s like to travel with Lufthansa Airlines: my experience

After traveling several times with Lufthansa, I have no doubt in saying that this is one of my favorite airlines.
Every time, everything went very well, from booking tickets online to check-in, boarding, and the flight itself.
Actually, even when things didn’t go smoothly, they still went well. In other words, on one of the trips with a layover, I missed one of the flights.
The flight in question was from Bari, Italy, with a layover at Frankfurt Airport. The flight departed late from Bari, causing me to miss the connection to Porto.
When the flight landed in Frankfurt, I received an email with the rescheduled flight for the next day. Customer support provided me with a voucher for the hotel, dinner, and transfer. The next day, I returned home safe and sound.
Everything you need to know before traveling on Lufthansa Airlines
What is it like to travel in Lufthansa Business Class?

Those traveling in the higher classes, such as Business and First Class, have a differentiated experience.
For instance, First Class passengers have a Personal Assistant, Valet Parking Service, and limousine service at Frankfurt and Munich Airports, in addition to the benefits included in Business fares.
Business class perks include priority boarding at the airport, additional free baggage, meals onboard, and access to lounges.

I must say that access to the lounges is particularly interesting for those planning a long layover or needing a quiet place to work.
I had the opportunity to visit the lounges at Frankfurt and Munich airports, and I must say they are both very useful.
In addition to food and drinks at your disposal, there are work areas with tables and sofas to rest. I found several outlets to plug in my laptop as well as charge my phone.
If I’m not mistaken, entry to the lounges for those without a premium ticket is around €30, which honestly seemed quite reasonable to me.
When can online check-in be done?

The Lufthansa online check-in can be done from 30 hours before departure and you can use the booking reference or ticket number to do so.
These details are usually on the voucher you receive when you purchase the flight.
Additionally, at some airports, the pre-check-in option is available, which is very convenient for those who prefer to drop off their luggage in advance (up to 30 hours before) and go directly to security on the day of the flight.
This tip is particularly interesting for those with a late-day flight who don’t want to carry their bags on the day of departure.
You can leave them at the airport the day before and have more time to enjoy every minute of your trip at the destination.
