The Scandinavian Airlines System, or SAS, is an airline from Scandinavia, comprising Sweden, Norway, and Denmark.

It is also one of the founding members of the Star Alliance, the largest alliance of commercial aviation companies.

It offers low-cost flights from several European cities, such as London, Paris, Berlin, and Rome, making it increasingly the choice of european passengers.

We traveled from Porto to Copenhagen, Denmark, a few weeks ago with SAS and share our experience here. All with the intention of helping you understand what it’s like to travel with this airline.

And if you still have any questions at the end of this article, feel free to leave a comment.

The quick answer is that our first trip with Scandinavian Airlines went very smoothly, as did the subsequent ones.

I found the process of booking our flights on the SAS website to be simple and transparent, as all the necessary information was clearly displayed.

I received a notification reminding me to check in online, and it was easy to understand which baggage was included in the ticket.

Furthermore, the flights departed on schedule, without any delays, and the cabin crew was very friendly.

Based on my experience, I have no doubt in recommending traveling with Scandinavian Airlines.

Is it expensive to travel on Scandinavian Airlines?

SAS is a low-cost airline, meaning you can get cheap plane tickets if you book in advance.

This is because ticket prices tend to increase as the travel date approaches.

However, SAS often runs promotions at specific times, and the easiest way to stay informed about these discounts is to subscribe to their newsletter.

Furthermore, it’s worth mentioning that Scandinavian Airlines has a loyalty program for businesses, so if you travel frequently for work with this airline, I believe it’s worth joining.

What’s included in the Scandinavian Airlines ticket?

In terms of baggage, what’s included depends on the type of ticket you purchase.

I traveled with the SAS Go Light fare, which doesn’t include baggage, meaning I only traveled with a small backpack.
