Recommended of hotels in this area:
Luxury: mountain resorts with very peaceful surroundings.

- Mountain Villa Adam’s Peak: In Nallathanniya, with a garden, terrace, and balconies overlooking the mountain, offering a good balance between comfort and price.
Traditional: Mountain guesthouses with a family atmosphere.
- Water Side Residence: Another guesthouse in the Nallathanniya area, with a good family atmosphere and a reasonable location for the climb.

Staying at Centauria Hill Resort
During my stay in Ratnapura, I stayed at Centauria Hill Resort, which was the perfect choice for the type of trip I was on. The hotel is located on a hill, slightly away from the center, which means silence, fresh air, and pleasant views.
In addition, the atmosphere is relaxed and the hotel has that classic charm of Sri Lankan mountain lodges: a large building, spacious common areas, beautiful gardens, and a pool perfect for relaxing at the end of the day.
I especially liked the feeling of “refuge,” because after a day of exploring the region, waterfalls, and less obvious roads, arriving at the hotel and feeling that tranquility was a relief.
The room was large and comfortable, with everything I needed, and the service was attentive, always with that kindness so characteristic of Sri Lanka.
The restaurant was also a pleasant surprise, as I was able to enjoy simple, home-cooked meals with many local options.
Therefore, I recommend Centauria Hill Resort for those who want to stay in a comfortable place without spending too much and are looking for a calm environment, ideal for resting between outings.
