Things to do when in London? Have you already booked your trip to London?
And are you looking for travel tips on what to do when in London? Well, we put together eight suggestions with the main tourist attractions that you can easily include in your itinerary.
That’s great advice on things to do when in London.
Anyway, will you accompany us on this trip?
Things to do when in London
Take a River Thames Cruise

If you are not in the mood to take a cruise on the River Thames, you can take a walking tour along its banks, as on good weather this is, without a doubt, an excellent program to do in London.
However, if you have the opportunity, we recommend that you take a cruise as this way you will have a very different perspective of the city of London.
So, if you value the comfort of a day ticket, we take the liberty of suggesting a hop-on-hop-off cruise (valid for 24 hours) where you can get on and off the boat at your convenience.
Have an exquisite afternoon tea
It is an expensive experience, but it will stay with you for the rest of your life.
You can indeed try the afternoon tea at various restaurants in the city, but we suggest you book your place in a luxury hotel in advance.
The English tradition began with Portuguese Dona Catarina de Bragança usually includes savory and sweet options (small cucumber or salmon sandwiches, cream cakes, jams, and scones), tea, and sometimes even champagne.
Watch a show
The capital of London has an incredible offer of shows, but to make your choice easy, we will indicate the most famous: The Lion King, Cats, Mamma Mia!, Phantom of the Opera and Stomp.
See the render of the guard.

The changing of the guard is an ostentatious event that takes place outside Buckingham Palace.
So, between July and October, the free show takes place every day at 11:30 am and on alternate days in the remaining months (from May to July).
However, please note that this event may be canceled, for example, because of adverse weather conditions.
Immerse yourself in the world of Harry Potter
If you are a Harry Potter fan, do yourself a favor and pay a visit to Warner Brothers Studios.
Location of Warner Bros. Studio Tour: Harry Potter, Studio Tour Dr, Leavesden, Watford WD25 7LR, UK
As you may have noticed, the studio is not in central London, but it is easy to get there independently either by bus (15 minutes) or train (20 minutes).
However, you can purchase the Harry Potter World entry ticket in advance and include bus travel. In this case, you will have to go to London Victoria Station.
Discover street art in less touristy area
This information may be new to you, but please note that there is a wide selection of street art that you can enjoy for free in London.
And, we tell you where to find the murals: Shoreditch and Brick Lane neighborhoods.
Escape to Stonehenge
Stonehenge has been one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1986, so if you are in London, we recommend you take a short break to this archaeological site.
You can make the trip independently if you rent a car or, if you prefer, some companies offer organized tours.
As you know, Get Your Guide is our blog partner, and for that reason, if you are interested in this type of tour, we recommend the half-day tour of Stonehenge.
Try typical (local) dishes
The cuisine in London is very diverse, as are the places where you can enjoy excellent food.
From street markets to Michelin-starred restaurants, small family restaurants, and fast-food chains, there is a little bit of everything in London.
However, to have a more authentic experience, please find below some dishes that we believe are very worthwhile.
Full English Breakfst
The Full English breakfast that includes sausages, eggs, bacon, beans, tomatoes, and grilled mushrooms to accompany crispy toast and coffee or tea.
You will not want to eat for long hours.
Fish and Chips
Fish and chips ate the famous fish fillet accompanied by chips that you will find in almost every restaurant in tourist areas.
Sunday Roast
If you are in London on a Sunday, you cannot miss the Sunday Roast, also known as the Sunday Lunch. It is the favorite dish for Sunday lunch!
A traditional Sunday roast comes with Yorkshire pudding and horseradish, roasted potatoes, sauce, and vegetables. A delight!
