How is the disembarkation at Miami Airport?
Upon arrival at immigration, you will need to go to one of the counters or automatic machines. The difference is that the automatic machines are faster; however, not everyone can use them.
For example, if you are traveling with children, you will need to speak with an immigration officer.
How to get from Miami Airport to the Port of Miami?

To get to the Port of Miami by train, you will need to use several lines.
First, take the MIA Mover to the Airport Station, then the Metrorail to the Vizcaya Metrorail Station, and finally the MIA Cor to the Port of Miami.
Considering this and assuming you will have luggage and limited time, we believe the best way is to use a taxi or Uber to get from Miami Airport to the cruise port.
How to get from Miami Airport to Downtown?

If you are planning your trip from Miami Airport to downtown, note that you have several options at your disposal.
One of the most economical and practical options is the MetroRail.
This train service departs directly from Miami International Airport, and you can reach the train by taking the MIA Mover, a free transportation service that takes you from the arrivals area to the Metrorail Station.
Upon arriving at the Metrorail Station at the airport, you can quickly board the MetroRail heading towards Downtown Miami.
It’s important to note that you can purchase MetroRail tickets from the automatic machines located near the station.
However, keep in mind that these machines only accept US dollar bills of less than 100 USD. Therefore, I recommend having smaller bills with you or exchanging money before arriving at the station to avoid any complications.
The MetroRail is known for its efficiency and comfort, providing a direct and traffic-free journey from the airport to the heart of Miami.
Additionally, by choosing this means of transport, you can enjoy views of the city while you travel.
Apart from the MetroRail, you can also consider other options such as taxis or car rentals, depending on your specific needs and travel preferences.
However, if you are looking for an affordable and direct alternative, the MetroRail is an excellent choice to get to Downtown Miami from Miami Airport.

How to get from Miami Airport to Miami Beach?
In my opinion, the best way to get from Miami Airport to Miami Beach is by using the Metrobus, as it is both practical and quite affordable.
In other words, it is more economical to go from the airport to Miami Beach by Metrobus than by taxi or Uber.
To start, head to the Metrorail Station inside the airport, where you will find the designated stop for the bus line 150.
It’s not hard to find, as you can use the MIA Mover, which, as mentioned before, is a free internal transportation service that connects the arrivals area directly to the Metrorail Station.
Once you arrive at the Metrorail Station, look for the platform or signs for Metrobus line 150.
It’s important to note that bus tickets must be purchased on board, and the driver usually does not have change available. Therefore, it is advisable to have the exact fare ready in cash to facilitate your journey.
However, if the budget is not an issue for you, besides the Metrobus, other transportation options between Miami International Airport include taxis, Uber, and private transport services.

How to get from Miami Airport to Fort Lauderdale?
To get from Miami International Airport to Fort Lauderdale, the best option is to use the Tri-Rail, which is the train.
This is because the Tri-Rail provides a fast and convenient connection between Miami Airport and Fort Lauderdale.
To do this, you need to take the MIA Mover to the Metrorail Station and there purchase tickets to Fort Lauderdale from the machines.
Remember that the automatic ticket machines do not accept bills over 100 USD, so it’s important to have a credit card or smaller bills.
The Tri-Rail trains to Fort Lauderdale run approximately every 60 minutes, and you can expect a journey of about one hour to reach Fort Lauderdale from Miami Airport.

How to get from Miami Airport to Orlando?
Orlando is mainly sought after by those planning to visit Walt Disney World.
If that’s your case, be aware that the journey between Miami Airport and Orlando takes between 3.5 to 5 hours, depending on the transportation you choose.
The fastest way is by rental car, which takes around 3.5 hours.

The Metromover
The Metromover is a free transportation system in Miami that connects with both the MetroRail and the Metrobus.

Renting a car at Miami Airport, is it worth it?

If you are traveling to downtown Miami or Miami Beach and want to know how to get from Miami Airport to Downtown, I think it’s not worth renting a car at the airport, as public transportation works very well.
However, if you are planning to take a road trip through Florida and visit various places, then renting a car is worth it.
