How to get from João Paulo II Airport to the center of Ponta Delgada

Leaving João Paulo II Airport in São Miguel (Azores), you can go to the center of Ponta Delgada by taxi, Uber, or shuttle if you don’t want to rent a car.
Both taxi and Uber meeting places are in the arrivals area, which makes this type of transport very convenient.
If you prefer to save a few euros, you can choose to go to the center of Ponta Delgada by shuttle, which is a bus or minibus service provided by the airport.
For up to 3 people, count on paying a ticket of around €8 (€14 round trip). For the fourth passenger and beyond, the ticket price is +4 €.
This transport passes through different points in the city of Ponta Delgada, such as Avenida Príncipe do Mónaco, Rua de Lisboa, Avenida Infante Dom Henrique, Rua João Melo Abreu (in Calheta), Avenida Dom João III, São Gonçalo , Antero de Quental and Ramalho.
