Here’s my experience of buying flights on the Rumbo website, so you can decide for yourself whether or not it’s worth considering for online bookings, as well as whether it’s a safe and reliable platform.
This has probably already happened to you: you’re searching for airline tickets and different prices appear on the platforms.
At least it’s happened to me several times, but when I’m booking for the first time on a site I don’t know, I admit I get nervous.
This is because I’ve heard many stories of scams and schemes that result in losses for those making the bookings.
So in this article I’ll share my experience of booking travel on the Rumbo website, so that you can make an informed decision for yourself.
Shall we?

What is Rumbo and How Does It Work?
Rumbo is a popular travel booking website that offers options for flights, hotels, vacation packages, cruises, car rentals, bus, and train tickets. In other words, it’s possible to book different types of trips through Rumbo.
I should mention that when it comes to hotels, car rentals, and bus tickets, I’m happy with the websites I usually use for bookings, so I don’t plan on switching.
However, flights are a different story. The price differences always lead me to compare prices.
While I generally prefer to purchase airline tickets directly from the airlines’ websites, sometimes that’s not possible—especially if I find lower prices or better schedules with different airlines.
So, during my research, I frequently came across the Rumbo website. Since I preferred the trip option that Rumbo offered, I decided to try out the platform.

My Experience with Rumbo!
The first time I booked flights on Rumbo, I double-checked everything!
I wanted to make sure there were no hidden fees, the dates were correct, the baggage conditions were clear, the layover times between flights were sufficient, and that no extra fees were added at checkout.
In other words, I wanted to see if the price and conditions they presented stayed consistent throughout the booking process.
And what happened? Everything went perfectly! Correct prices, clear terms, smooth payments!
Since that first trip, I’ve booked flights with Rumbo again, and it has always gone well.
For this reason, I plan to continue comparing travel prices on Rumbo, and whenever it makes sense, I’ll keep booking through this online booking platform!

Is It Safe to Buy on the Rumbo Website?
Honestly, I believe that no website or online booking platform is 100% safe these days. So, I recommend taking some security precautions when shopping online.
Some examples of these precautions include only making purchases on your own trusted computer or phone, researching feedback on unfamiliar websites, and using one-time-use credit cards.
This way, you minimize the risk of being a fraud target, though it doesn’t eliminate it entirely.
However, every time I made bookings on Rumbo, everything went as expected. I found the booking and payment process intuitive, and I didn’t encounter any difficulties.

Tips for Improving Your Online Booking Experience
Although my experience has always been positive, I want to share some suggestions to enhance your experience on the Rumbo website and help avoid scams.
First, always use incognito mode when conducting searches and clear your cache. It’s also important to read all the information presented during the booking process.
I understand that reading every little detail can be tedious, but it’s necessary to know exactly what you’re purchasing and what the conditions are.
In particular, always confirm the refund policies.
Additionally, throughout the process, ensure that no extra charges have been added, whether related to fees, services, or insurances you do not intend to purchase.

My Final Opinion on the Rumbo Website
As I mentioned earlier, while I believe that no website or online platform is 100% safe, I generally find Rumbo to be trustworthy.
For this reason, I regularly book trips online through Rumbo, and I plan to continue doing so.
