Delta Air Lines is based in Atlanta, Georgia and is one of the leading airlines in the United States.
In fact, it is the oldest airline operating in the United States and the seventh oldest in the world.
I recently had the opportunity to travel with Delta on a flight between Amsterdam Schiphol Airport and Seattle in Washington state, as well as from Seattle to Anchorage in Alaska, so I wanted to share my experience.
So in this article I answer the main questions asked by travelers who are flying with Delta Air Lines for the first time.
I hope you find this information useful!

My experience traveling on Delta Air Lines
According to my experience, traveling on Delta is very comfortable. Everything went smoothly, organized and on time.
Boarding was relatively quick, as was finding your seat and stowing your luggage.
The flight attendants were very friendly and helpful, and the in-flight entertainment included plenty of movies.
In addition, the flight was on time, both on departure and arrival. So I can only report positive things about traveling with Delta.
Everything you need to know before traveling with Delta Air Lines

When can you check in online?
Free online check-in with Delta Air Lines can be done up to 24 hours before departure time.
To make online check-in easier, the company recommends the Fly Delta App.

Do they serve free meals/snacks on Delta Air Lines?
Yes, Delta Air Lines flights usually include drinks and snacks as a minimum, even on the shortest flights.
What’s more, when it comes to long flights, as was the case for me from Amsterdam to Seattle, in addition to the free drinks, such as Starbucks® coffee, tea, juice, soda or water, and snacks, they also serve a hot meal, which in this case was lunch.

What are Delta Air Lines’ baggage policies?
Passengers flying with Delta can take one piece of hand luggage and one personal item, for example a small backpack, free of charge.
Carry-on baggage includes trolleys which must be placed in the overhead compartments of the plane, and the personal item must be placed under the seat.
There is also the possibility that you will be asked to check in your hand luggage free of charge, especially when flights are full.

What are the in-flight entertainment services?
The experience on board Delta’s planes depends on the type of ticket you buy, as well as the number of hours of the flight, with the luxury classes logically having more comfort.
In any case, I traveled in Basic Economy, Delta’s most economical class, and I found the service to be quite acceptable.

Where does Delta Air Lines fly to?
Thanks to partnerships with other airlines, Delta Air Lines has more than 1000 flights in 60 countries, including airports in Europe, the United States, Canada, Africa, the Middle East, Asia and the Pacific.
For example, there are flights from Lisbon Airport to Boston.
