Our experience on a Biscayne Bay Cruise
We took this tour in the early afternoon, but there are several departures throughout the day, depending on the company you choose.
We’d like to mention that at Bayside Marketplace, where these tours depart, there’s a commercial area with shops and various restaurant options. It’s a good place to have lunch or a quick meal before or after the cruise.
Regarding the cruise itself, it’s important to know that it’s narrated. This means the guide accompanying the group provides information about the places we pass by.
The guide also explains who owns or has owned the mansions along the bay. It’s a moment of curiosity and gossip about celebrities, whether they’re movie stars, billionaire entrepreneurs, or top athletes.
So, you’ll find out where celebrities like Jennifer Lopez, Matt Damon, Shakira, Oprah Winfrey, Gloria Estefan, Lenny Kravitz, Jeff Bezos, Cher, Sophia Loren, and Ricky Martin live or have lived, among others.
We passed by several of Miami’s artificial islands, such as the Venetian Islands, Hibiscus Island, Star Island, Palm Island, and Fisher Island.
We also toured the Port of Miami and saw the beaches of South Beach.
When the cruise ended, we were taken back to Bayside Marketplace.
